With UC PR Bot, group members add new people themselves using Telegram’s Add Members option. The bot records qualifying additions and grants posting access when the configured conditions are met.
It does not collect users from other groups or add people automatically. This approach is for group owners who want members to help bring relevant people into their community.
Example: add one person to unlock posting
Suppose you run a group about a shared interest. You set a rule requiring members to add one new person before posting.
A member opens the group information, selects Add Members and adds someone who is interested in joining. Telegram tells the bot who made the addition.
If it meets the configured rules, the addition counts. When adding one person is the only requirement, the member can then post.
If channel membership is also required, that condition must be completed too.
What counts as an addition?
| Action | Counts in UC PR Bot |
|---|---|
| A member manually adds a new person through Telegram | Yes, if the addition meets the rules |
| Someone joins through a shared invitation link | No |
| Someone submits a join request | No |
| The person was already in the group | This is not a new addition |
UC PR Bot does not generate personal referral links. Its member-addition requirement uses Telegram’s manual Add Members flow.
Set up the requirement
Connect either @UCPRbot or @UC_PR_bot to your main group and open the setup wizard. Use one of these bots per main group.
Choose Add a member only and set the required number to one, two or three new members.
Next, choose whether to monitor added members, set the posting access period and decide who must meet the requirement. Review the settings and start the checks.
Does monitoring delay posting access?
No. An addition counts immediately, and posting access opens once all selected conditions are met.
Monitoring determines how long an added person’s early departure can affect that access. If they leave during the monitoring period, access earned through their addition may be revoked. The member needs to replace the person who left; other qualifying additions remain recorded.
Once the monitoring period ends, that person’s later departure no longer affects the access earned through their addition.
If Telegram will not let someone add a member
Check whether your group allows members to add people. The person’s privacy settings or Telegram restrictions may also prevent an addition. UC PR Bot does not bypass these controls.
If manual additions are unsuitable for your community, you can require channel membership instead or let members choose between subscribing and adding someone.
